My Father
(This is a poem I wrote for my dad when he reached his 25th year of serving God! )
My father's love has ever grown,
for God above and his heavenly home.
He's given his life to serve the Lord
to travel the nation, and preach God's word.
Many lives have been touched and changed,
the comforts of a home, he has gladly exchanged;
for a life on the road, living in many a hotel,
to share the Gospel, and of God's gift to tell.
His life has served as an example to many,
his years for the Lord have reached five and twenty.
Through all the pain he is true to his dedication,
to tell ALL he might meet of God's way of salvation.
Never a thought of pity for himself,
only to serve God, and not be put on a shelf.
If one was to mention that his life must be tough,
his answer- souls kept from hell was reward enough.
He remains true to the Word, his Bible is King James,
He will fight for it always, and even name names.
He preached sermons on faith, that God will provide,
Then live his life, and in Christ abide.
His needs were never by himself to be made known,
God's provisions to him he would always have shown.
His life an example of faith and God's love,
and how our needs will be met from only above.
The lessons he has taught me, as i have grown,
have remained in my heart as if etched in stone.
Many times did I write "a job half done is not done at all"
As he proves it with his work for God, always standing tall.
From an iron lung to the pulpit is his story to tell,
God's grace is sufficient, and through Christ all will end well.
Romans 8:28 was a verse he would share,
then lift OTHERS needs up to God in his prayers.
Of his love for God, one could never have doubt,
Daily he does prove that this is what his life is about.

Introduction
I
would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Monte
Watts, Jr. and I have recently answered God’s call to a new ministry. I have
entered a new chapter of my life for God’s service and ministry. I have 21
years of remodeling and design experience. I also had the privilege of
travelling with my father, Evangelist Monte Watts, and to be in many different
churches across the country. I believe that God has allowed me these
experiences to show me the need for an emphasis on beautifying God’s house and
training folks to keep it first class. I would like to offer myself to be used
of God in your ministry if and when you see the need may arise.
As
a preacher of God’s Word, I believe that God could use me to encourage you and
your people. As a builder, I believe that God could use me to help design a
program and train church members to build and or maintain your buildings as a
first class priority. My ministry is named “A Nehemiah Ministry: Ministering to build God’s
People and God’s House.” Ezra 7:27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which
hath put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the
LORD which is in Jerusalem: … I
believe that God’s house should be beautiful; a testament to the greatness of
all that God has done for us, and our love for Him. Exodus 35:34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he,
and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. Bezaleel and
Aholiab were called upon to build the tabernacle, and they then taught others
to work, to help, and to continue on. I believe God has called me to help and
to train, that I may continue on to help others, knowing that the work will
continue after I have left. I also am able to build high quality, custom
pulpits, platform furniture, Lord’s Supper tables, library furniture, tract
racks, etc... all to match existing décor.
My
wife and I are excited to be serving God in this new area. We are very involved
in our local church. We are members of, and are being sent by, Bible Baptist
Church of Highland, IN. We work in the
bus ministry here, all of the children’s ministry, visitation, etc.. In the
past several years we were able to be used of God in other churches as well for
preaching, to start a bus ministry, teaching Sunday School, junior churches,
teens, etc… I thoroughly enjoy being a part of Pastor Poole’s ministry and I am
excited to see what all God is going to do here and in my ministry in the
future.
Thank
you for your time, please pray for my wife Sandy, my daughter Lilly, and I as we seek to follow God’s plan and His
path for our ministry.
Sincerely
in Christ,
Monte Watts, Jr

What I Believe!
My
Beliefs
I
believe the Bible to be perfect and true. Therefore, what I do and what I
believe is based solely on God’s Word. Because of that, all teaching and
preaching comes from the Word of God.
The
Bible
I
believe the Bible to be the revealed Word of God, fully and verbally inspired
of God. I believe the Scriptures to be the inerrant, infallible Word of God, as
found within the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. I believe God not only
inspired every word, but has preserved them through the ages. I believe the
King James Version is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking people
(Psalm 12:6-7; II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:19-21).
God
I
believe in one God, who is eternal, self-existent, infinite, and immutable. I
believe He has one nature, one essence, and one substance, yet manifests
Himself to man in three persons: the Father, the
Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; I Timothy 1:17; James 1:17; I John
4:4).
Son
I
believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Saviour of mankind. I believe Jesus
Christ to be eternally God and to possess all the attributes of Deity. I
believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin born, that He was God incarnate,
and that the purposes of the incarnation were to reveal God, to redeem men, and to rule over God’s kingdom. I believe Jesus Christ
never relinquished any attributes of His Deity, but merely veiled them. I
believe He lived a perfect, sinless life, at the end of which He was offered
for all mankind as a substitutionary sacrifice for man’s sin. This sacrifice
was a just payment to God for the forgiveness of sin. It was activated by His
death through the shedding of His blood on the Cross and was accepted by God
upon His resurrection. I believe He ascended into Heaven after His resurrection
to be seated at the right hand of the Father, waiting for the time of receiving
His church at the Rapture, and returning seven years later to earth to rule and
reign as King for 1,000 years (Psalm 2:7-9; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 43:11; Micah 5:2;
Matthew 1:25; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1, 1:3, 14, 18, 29; Romans 3:19-25; Romans
5:6-15; Philippians 2:5-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Timothy 2:5; I Timothy
3:16; Titus 2:10-15; Hebrews 7:26, 9:24-28; I Peter 1:19, 2:2; I John 1:3;
Revelation 20:1-6).
The
Holy Spirit
I
believe the Holy Spirit of God is a person who has personality and all the
attributes of Deity. I believe the Holy Spirit has always been involved in the
affairs of mankind. However, I believe He has a special ministry which began at
Pentecost and will continue until the Rapture. This ministry includes
convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit was
also sent to regenerate, sanctify, seal, and fill all who have placed their
faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:5-6; John 14:16; Acts 1:5; Acts 11:15; I
Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19-20; I Corinthians 12:13).
Sin
and Salvation
I
believe all men were born with an inherited sin nature received from our common
ancestor, Adam. I believe that because of his nature, man is a sinner by
choice, and he is totally incapable of reforming himself or ceasing from his
sin by his own power. I believe the only hope of deliverance for man is a total
change of mind concerning his sinful condition and inability to change it, and
a turning to Jesus Christ as the only Saviour. I believe that only through the
substitutionary sacrifice of Christ on the Cross can a man be delivered from
his sin. I believe that all those who reject Jesus Christ as their Saviour are
already condemned to an eternity in the Lake of Fire (Genesis 5:1-5; Acts 4:19;
Acts 16:31; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 5:6-12; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10;
Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6; Revelation 20:11-14).
The
New Testament Church
I
believe the church began with the calling out of the twelve apostles by Jesus
Christ and was empowered on the day of Pentecost. I believe the local church is
God’s only institution to carry out His work today. I believe the local church
is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the
command of Christ, and have voluntarily united together for the purposes of
worship, fellowship, service, and the Lord’s Table. I believe all true
believers will be taken up at the Rapture, just prior to the Tribulation
(Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 1:15; Acts 2:41-43; Acts 11:15; Acts 20:28; I
Corinthians 15: 51-58; Ephesians 1:12-14; Ephesians 5:25-30; I Thessalonians
4:13-18; I Timothy 3:4-15).
The
Last Days
I
believe in the literal interpretation of the Scriptures in their grammatical
and historical context. I believe in the pre-tribulational Rapture of the
church saints, followed by the seven-year Tribulation. I believe in the
pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth and His literal rule of one
thousand years. Following this one thousand years is the Great White Throne
judgment and then the new Heaven and new earth (I Corinthians 15:51-58; I
Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Thessalonians 5:1-9; Revelation 19-22).
